Chapter 29, Whose is This?_1

Ji Nuan cast a pitiful glance at the chubby little ball, then turned and quickly ran towards the Clan Leader's home. The wounded cub raised its dark eyes to watch her retreating figure, with cold complexity that didn't match its petite frame.

The leader's family was busy processing the game they had hunted today. Seeing Ji Nuan, sweating and puffing, they all paused to look at her.

Worried about the cub's injuries, Ji Nuan directly addressed Ge Xing: "Uncle Clan Leader, I found this badly wounded lion cub in the woods today. I couldn't tell whose it was so I took it to Grandma Shaman. She asked me to ask you to come over."

Ge Xing's face turned solemn. His hand, slick with fresh blood from the game, rubbed against his beast skin skirt before he swiftly headed towards the Shaman's cave.

Ji Nuan said goodbye to Naima and the Clan Leader's cubs and jogged after the leader. Along the way, she recounted how she had found the young lion.
