Anis: inside that freezer? Why is it so big?

Varakiel: bigger is better i suppose, let's see what's inside.

Everyone sprints towards the freezer.

Neon: !! there's a case for a flask to be inserted. There are 12 slots, and 11 of them contain empty flasks inside. The other one is empty.

Papillon: Were we beaten to the punch? I hate it when that happens.

Rapi:...

Neon:....

Anis:...Something doesn't feel right here. The security system was down when we arrived…

Rapi: I'm not detecting any heat sources from raptures.

Varakiel: is no rapture, Rapi, neon, anis, V formation.

Anis: !? for real?

Varakiel: *nod*

The squad then sticks together and forms a V.

Papillon: what do you mean no raptures.

Varakiel: papillon, this is an order from a commander, you'll follow everything i say.

Papillon: !?

Varakiel: When you see it deactivate your auditory sensors and close your eyes, trust me.

Papillon:....

Varakiel turns around and sees that varakiel hand a flashbang on his back.

Papillon:....*nod* roger.

Varakiel: *nod*

The wall in front of the counters shatters.

Rapi: enemy sighted!

Anis: I knew something was up!

???: Isabel, cover the commander.

A purple long hair nikke approaches varakiel but…you know how this is going to go~.

Varakiel: now!

Something comes behind Varakiel's back.

*BANG*

A huge flash of light and a highly pitched sound comes from the flashbang.

Isabell: ugh!!

*POW POW POW*

Rapi quickly takes down the nikke.

Rapi: don't move or I will blow your head off.

Rapi aims her gun at the nikke head.

???: !! harran!

Harran: My systems are still malfunctioning. That was no ordinary flashbang.

*boom* *bang* *Pow*

Anis who suddenly came from the side takes down the nikke Harran.

???: *tsk* noah, we need to retr-

*POW**click*

Neon: I am sorry if I hurted you.

Noah: I am sorry my ass, you almost broke my arm!!

Varakiel: *phew* it seems my suspicions were right, papilion, make sure those nikkes don't make anything weird.

Papillon: roger.

*click*

Papillion aims her sniper rifle from afar.

Rapi: Now, pilgrims, what's going on here? Why did you suddenly attack us?

Noah: You don't get to ask questions!

Neon: We defeated you so i'll say we have all the rights to do so.

Noah: You should be apologizing. Bursting in here and trying to steal what others worked so hard to find.

Varakiel: We are in a wasteland, finders keepers.

Anis: Are you talking about vapaus?

Harran: Maybe you're not as dumb as you look.

Anis pushes Harran with more strength.

Harran: And you're stronger than you look too.

Varakiel: So commander, should we have a truce? If not, I will be forced to incapacitate your nikkes.

A man walks towards varakiel.

Harran: commander johan, fall back and get reinforcements.

Johan: I'm going to ask you some questions.

Varakiel: Of course, as long as your squad doesn't try anything funny.

Varakiel: *nod* you can let them go girls, but still papillon, don't lose your aim out of them.

Rapi anis and neon let go of the nikkes and walk behind varakiel.

Johan:....good. I expect proper answers. Who are you?

Varakiel: Varakiel, commander from the ark at your service~.

Johan: good. Next question. 

Johan pulls out a flask with vapaus.

Varakiel: *chuckle* so you failed to pull out your own trap.

Isabel's weapon begins to vibrate ominously.

Johan: You say you're a commander from the ark. You could stay burrowed underground, safe from harm. This is an item used to kill heretics. Why on earth would someone like you want this?

Varakiel: to liberate nikkes from the ark's control.

Johan:...what are you on about?

Isabel: vapaus destroys the nanomachines inside a heretic's body. In doing that, it disrupts their regenerative abilities. so , if you were to use this on the nikkes inside the ark….

Johan: You could remove their NIMPH. Freeing them from the endless cycle of resurrection. Liberating them….i see now. Alright, last question. Which do you think is more important: the liberation of nikkes, or recapturing the surface?

Varakiel: neither of those.

Johan: oh?

Varakiel: I said that I needed vapaus to liberate the nikkes, but never said what I wanted to do with it isn't?

Johan: I see.

Varakiel: What I want to do is, give back hope to humanity and for that I need to start from nikkes.

Johan: hope you say? Hmph.

Varakiel: I believe that should satisfy your curiosity, now? Want to do this the easy way or the hard way?

Johan tries to grab varakiel neck but

Varakiel already had a gun pointing at johan's head.

Varakiel: Nice try, but I have faced 2 heretics by now so I know to expect the unexpected.

Varakiel: Let me guess you planned to throw me through that hole and call raptures so they end the job, so you don't feel any guilt? You haven't changed since you left the ark johan.

Counter and johan squad points their guns at each other.

Varakiel: so? Easy way or hard way? You might be pilgrims and have more advanced technology, but you shouldn't underestimate us.

Johan:.....we're going back to eden.

Isabel:....yes, commander.

Harran:....*nod*

Noah:....*nod*

After johan and his squad leaves

Rapi: That sound! Raptures!

Anis: they really called them out!?

Neon: Okay I hate these people now.

Varakiel: *chuckle* he's like a kid, he got humiliated and now wants revenge, hahaha.

Papillon: Are pilgrims really like that?

Varakiel: humans will be humans.

Rapi: in that you're right commander.
