The Meeting

Denatus was supposed to be held next day. Hestia went to that meeting. Like usual the Gods named their children and laughed a lot. Then Hestia took the courage and proclaimed that she gave her Blessing to a demon. She also added, Bell is the demon. The other Gods were shocked. But they are put in a different situation. Some say that rules are rules. Some say that it is okay just because he is Bell. 

Then fortunately Freya supported Bell. She added that it is their duty as a God to help a child who has the highest potential to become a hero. Hestia then listed his achievements that includes saving a Goddess Artemis. Loki kept silent all through out the meeting. The two sides are equal now. The final word came came down to Loki. Loki then remembers Dionysus's mocking words before he was send to heaven. The dungeon is at its limit. She took the wise decision and support Bell in that case. They all decided to choose Bell as an exception.

Hestia thanked Freya and Loki for their support. Then she went back to the Health Mansion. She informed Bell that he was accepted. Bell and others were so happy. They all congratulated him. Then in the presence of all of the Familia members, Hestia appointed Bell as the Wise captain of the Hestia Familia. Then Ryu proclaimed herself as his Personal Secretary. This made Jupiter mad. She also wanted to be his Personal Secretary. Then Bell said he is okay with having two secretary. 

When their problem is settled, Nina also expressed her desire to become his personal secretory. Then Ryu and Jupiter scared her off with their killing smiles. All of the Familia members accepted him as their new Wise Captain. Then Bell was welcomed to his camber. Bell sat on his chair. Ryu and Jupiter took their position on either side of his chair. While Hestia and others smiled and appreciated him by clapping their hands. It was a very proud moment in Bell's life.

Bell was doing all the paper works from morning. Thanks to Ryu and Jupiter he was able to finish it by noon. Bell feel exhausted. After launch he decided to take a walk. He was walking alone through the streets. On his way he met Takemikazuchi and Miach. He greeted them. He thanked both of them for supporting him in the Denatus. They said they were only retuning the favor for saving Orario from Nidhogg. They congratulated him for becoming a level 6 adventurer. 

Bell parted his ways with them. He continued walking. Then someone called him from behind. He looked back. It was Syr. He never expected her. He knew that she knew about his relationship with Jupiter. He felt guilty for playing her al this year. They greeted each other. Syr expressed her happiness for him being alive. She said that she missed him a lot. Bell apologized for making her worry all this time. 

Then Syr invited him for a coffee. They choose a decent restaurant. It was an open restaurant. They were sitting opposite to each other. They offered for coffee. They sat in opposite sides. Bell asked her how she is doing. She said she was fine. There was a awkward silence between the two. Then coffee arrived. Then both of them take a sip.

Syr " So Bell, how does it feel to be back in your Familia.?"

Bell " It feel like I am home." 

Syr " How is Ryu doing? Is making trouble for you? "

Bell " She is doing fine. Now she is appointed as by Personal Secretary. "

Syr with a smile " Oh really, that's great. I bet she will make a good secretary for you."

Bell " I have no doubt in it."

A moment of silence.

Syr " Bell, can I ask you something?"

Bell "Sure."

Syr " Will you join my Familia?"

Bell shocked and a sudden silence occurred between them. 

Syr " I knew that you are aware of my disguise. But right now, I am just myself. I can provide everything you want. Power, money, fame everything. Just say yes."

Bell was silent. He was thinking. He don't want to hurt. He was thinking of a right answer. 

Bell " You know Syr, I just joined Hestia Familia, yesterday. It's not even 6 months yet. So...."

Syr " So will you join after 6 months?"

Bell was totally blank. He don't know what to say. Sudden bit of sadness developed in his face. He really wanted to be with his new Familia. But he don't want to hurt her feeling either. He kept his silence. 

Syr " You can't right, I understand how much you love your family. "

Bell " Syr, I...."

Syr with a sad expression on her face" It's okay, I understand, I am asking for the impossible. "

 A moment of silence. Bell was completely helpless.

Syr quickly wiped off the tears that came out. Then with a smile " So, hmmm, How is your new girlfriend doing ?, haven't seen her around."

Bell with a sad tone " She is in the mansion. She will be fine."

Syr " O I see, I thought you liked me Bell. "

Bell was shocked and speechless. He is very confused and sad. His throat went dry.

Syr " You can buy anything in this world if you have power and money, but not love, and it's not cheap either. I knew the exactly how it feels, After all I am the Goddess of love. Please make sure you take good care of her. "

Bell is at the verge of breakdown. Bell with shaking voice, looking down " I-I am sorry, Syr. It all started 3 years ago. I couldn't help myself, but I fell for her. I-I am sorry. I can't explain how."

Syr suddenly realizes that she is making him sad. Syr with a smile " It's okay Bell, I understand. And more importantly, your coffee is getting cold. "

Bell with sad tone " Yeah, right.."

After paying the bill, Bell accompanied Syr to the Folkvangr. They were walking side by side. 

There was a silence between the two. Both of them wanted to break the silence. But they don't know what to say. They walked for a while. Then they reached a narrow alley. She was talking a short cut. There were nobody around. 

Syr was walking in the front. Bell pulled up the courage all called her.

Syr looked back with eyes wide open. Bell " Syr, I don't know how to talk this out. But please listen. For what I have done, I have no explanation. But I still believe we can be best friends. "

A moment of silence. 

Syr " You know Bell, you are the most selfish person I have ever seen in my entire life. But I am glad know that you want me to be your best friend. "

Bell with a calm tone " I am sorry but thank you, Syr. I will never forget this kindness. "

Syr extended her hands to the side. Bell was confused. 

Syr " Come on now, at least give me hug man."

Bell was totally surprised. Bell " Oww...., okay." 

Bell moved in and gave her a warm hug. She put her arms around him as well. 

Then he suddenly noticed that she was crying. Bell " Syr.."

Syr " You are an Idiot, you don't know how worried I was when I heard them say that you are no more. Next time you try something like this I will kill you myself, bastard."

Bell pulled her closer and hugged her tightly. He offered his chest to her to cry up on. His patted the back of her head and said " Yes, I got you my best friend. "

Syr tightened her grip in his shirt, I let out the sadness go out as a tears. Bell hugged and patted her head and shoulder her until she is satisfied. Then both of them let go off each other. She wiped off the tears.

Syr with little sad but refreshing voice " I feel better now. Thank you Bell. "

Bell just smiled. 

Then they walked in front of the huge gate of Folkvangr. Syr " Make sure you visit, the Hostress of Fertility once in a while. I will be there. I would like to hear more stories of your adventure, Bell. "

Bell with a smile "Sure, I promise."

They smiled and did a pinky promise. Her smile made him relived and happy. He cursed himself to do such a thing to her. He watched her go inside the gate. They waked their hands and parted their ways. His mind is full of regret. But he when he think of Jupiter, his felt like his regret has no meaning because she is also the same like Syr. 

Bell was walking back home, he stopped, looked up and asked " Why is everyone so kind to me?"
