Concede

On stage a man dressed in a red head dress stepped up.

"As the leader of War is Mercy, I would like to resign. Our company has no right fighting here."

The lion's eyes twitched.

"That is accepted, you may leave."

"Objection," LIon butted in. "What reason do you have to leave, you handled the last round well."

"That is none of your business. I and the rest of my company have made their decision."

It takes a lot of balls to concede in the thousand mile ceremony, but they knew what they were in for and wanted nothing of it.

Their group left the stage and returned to their seats.

"Well then this is unexpected, will the Rhine mercenary company please come back up."

The group came to the stage.

"Where the hell is Lenx?" Jewy complained.

"There is something happening." Badger added.

"No shit, he said he would be gone this Long." Hawk said

"What do you mean assuming Lynx didn't know war is mercy is going to quit, then he has one more fight before we have to worry." Said wolf.

"Hisss." Included Snake.

"I won't go easy on them." Said Pheap.

"Do you have rocks for brains, or is having that little girly by your side getting to you. Lynx said treat this like a real fight or you might just die." Fox barked.

Jewy bit her nail.

"Send up your first combatant."

"I'm going first." Said Pheap.

"You idiot, I'm the stronger one so I'll go first." Fox commanded.

"Like hell, there's a reason lynx waited to allow you to join."

"Shut it, Fox you go first we need Pheap in case something goes wrong." Commanded Jewy.

The lion's teammate is already up on the stage waiting.

"Announce yourselves."

"I'm Fox of the nine beasts. If you were curious fox is the seat of cunning, that wolf kid over there is the seat honor, the hawk is the seat of wisdom and flexibility, the badger is the seat of ingenuity, snake is the seat of deception, Jackal is the seat bravely, Lion is the seat of strength, and of course Lynx is the seat of the monarch the one to soon become king. There is more history with us, but Lynx would kill me if I told you."

"Lion you say, the only Lion I see here is head general. My name is Roma the fifth son of king Roma the fourth, bound for greatness. I am known to be the biggest header up for the next general position."

"What, Roma, thee Roma, I met him. How long ago was that?"

"What are you on about?"

"He was very smart and skilled with the spear, I kinda envied him, but children grow up and wow did he. I believe he made it all the way up to emperor, so close to the peak. Sad, where is he now anyways? I bet he's still kicking butt, he used to tease me all the time even when I was his elder, has he reached Peak Sovereign yet?"

"Who are you talking about? The only Roma to reach emperor is great great grandfather Roma the first."

"Oops, it looks like I let my tongue slip. But as his descendent I would be willing to take you on as my disciple if you tell me where young Roma is."

"He's dea…"

Before Roma could finish those words, Fox had him by his mouth.

"He's what!"

"I said he's dead." Roma struggled."

"How?"

"He died of natural causes fifteen years ago."

Fox dropped to his knees.

"Someone that strong doesn't die of old age. Please tell me if he remembered me?"

"I was only five, but I do remember him talking about all the adventures he would go on, with someone called Ben."

A smile creased Fox's face.
