Jackal

Jackal is confused, they went over this countless times but seeing it in action is'ent the same, it's not natural. And now he must face a tough opponent, someone Wolf, even if injured, couldn't beat.

He thought about who would win if he fighted Wolf many times, but each and every time he couldn't see himself winning without using his magic. Sneak attack is a no go, only the gods know how many assassins went after Wolf and found themselves dead. In a front match he is as capable as the Lion, and he is overwhelmingly better at manipulating magic, only being second to Lynx.

Though he didn't want to get lost in thought, this was not Wolf, this is someone who hasn't witnessed the hells of war or the deadly streets of Last Honor.

For once in his goddamn life Jackal is accepted and now isn't the time to forget that.

Jackal stepped forward unhesitantly, from his sleeves came two knives. Jorge reeded himself, his legs couldn't stop shaking. Jackal charged in wielding his knives like a maniac, his movements unpredictable. But Jorge held strong, knocking away each attack with his bare hands. Slivers cut through his skin, they burn in the fresh morning air.

Attack after attack, no matter how strong at blocking Jorge is, he still can't find an opening. The man who can not speak attacked ferociously enough to hear his words. "I will win, I will make Lynx proud." Jorge had a voice but he refused to speak, next to them Lynx and Vex were fighting, their attacks hit harder than sound.

Jorge found an opening for a split second, and used it to slam his fist into Jackal's stomach. Jackal fell to his knees, blood seeping from his mouth. For a millisecond Jorge let his guard down, Jackal leapt slashing up from Jorge's bottom check to his upper eyebrow. Jorge retreated.

Jackal stood there dumbfounded. 'He dodged? How?' Jackal thought to himself. He could have sworn he felt it hit Jorge's throat, but there he is alive and well with just a slash on his eye. He knew childish tricks like this only work once.

They collided with each other blade against fist. There attacks lacking substance both afraid to let up their guard. Jackal finds his mark and slash's Jorge's side. Jorge grabbed his hand and threw the knife away. Jorge tackled him, taking them both to the floor. Jackal managed to push him off with the wave of his remaining knife. That's when he heard what he never wanted to hear, six loud thuds and then a bang. Lynx was chucked into the wall and Vex was charging in to finish him off.

Jackal was left in awe, and confusion. Then this time thuds came from the other direction, harsh footsteps that were after blood. Jackal barely got enough time to turn and look. His knife, a gift from Lynx, is heading for him, second by second, it grew bigger and bigger until that was all he could see, until he could see nothing.

At that moment Jackal mouthed words no one would hear "I'm sorry, It was all my fault."
