Some Things Can't Be Changed

"Ya!"

Everyone was focused on the match with great excitement, seeing these incredible fighters. As the confrontation unfolded, Dre's leg injury was evident, so many didn't expect anything remarkable in the fight. However, everyone found out they were wrong as they witnessed Dre's performance, exchanging blows with the furious Cheng.

But just when everyone thought Dre was holding his own against Cheng, a powerful kick landed on his chest, knocking him straight off the combat platform.

Dash, who remembered a similar scenario in his fight, wasn't surprised. He simply sat there in silence, enjoying this incredible spectacle. It was like watching a movie in the highest possible quality, but even better. So, he preferred to rest and be part of the audience now.

"Point!"

As expected after that blow, Cheng took the lead with one point over Dre, who was recovering from the kick with Mr. Han's assistance.

"Show him that you're better than that, Dre!"

When Cheng saw that Dre could continue, he filled with a sense of anxiety and urgency.

Dash could see in his eyes that he was desperate to win the fight. He was eager to prove to his idiotic master that he was the best student in his Kung Fu school and that a kid who had been learning martial arts for less time couldn't beat him.

"There's no doubt that Dre has monstrous talent in martial arts. Being able to fight at this level with so little experience is unthinkable even for me." Dash had been training longer than Dre, and it seemed like it took his friend less time to become so good than it took him.

"That kid's Kung Fu is different from yours. There's no comparison in a long match." Mr. Kim didn't agree with his student's words.

"Are you okay?" Mr. Han, who was close to Dre, asked him as he got up.

But Dre didn't feel like responding; he felt frustrated for being thrown off the platform in such a humiliating way. He immediately climbed back up and positioned himself to continue the fight.

Spitting a strong breath of air through his throat, Dre knew that if he didn't score a point now, it would be challenging to look his friend in the eye again. So, this time, he would be much more aggressive to achieve a tie.

"Ready? Fight!"

When the referee moved the flags, Dre couldn't wait and started moving as soon as he saw Cheng initiating his attack.

Since he had no plans to back down, Dre faced him.

Pum!

When Cheng tried to hit Dre's chest, he blocked the attacks and thrust his fists upward, leaning his body at the same time. However, this gave his opponent the opportunity to hit him in the face. Still, Dre didn't stop and leaned his body, swept his leg, and taking advantage of Cheng's exposed posture, he attacked.

Auge!

Dre's kick successfully brought Cheng down, and when he tried to stand up immediately after, he was overwhelmed by Dre, who landed a powerful punch to his face.

"Point!"

At that moment, Dre's concentration entered an incredible phase in the fight, and Cheng, who felt even more desperate, couldn't understand it.

As the fight unfolded, Dash understood one thing: some things couldn't really be changed. He didn't know if it was because, regardless of his intervention in this tournament, things could happen the same way, but he felt very disappointed to know that victory was decided.

It had been a long time since Dash had awakened in a new life, but he still vaguely remembered the result of this fight. So, seeing Dre kick Cheng with a powerful kick and win the victory, he knew that some things had to happen.

"He really won…" Dash stood up and applauded, seeing that the fight was over.

When he saw Dre defeat Cheng, Dash was surprised to see both of them shaking hands after the fight.

"Does that mean both have left their problems behind, right?" Dash looked at Mr. Kim, who seemed more aware of things, and upon seeing him nod, he understood.

By the time Cheng descended from the combat arena, Dash despised his seat and walked toward where the audience was.

"Does that mean we won?" Zac, who now saw two finalists, one being Dash from the same Kung Fu school, asked his daughter.

"The prize should be for Sakura Bushido…" Devon nodded a bit distracted, knowing that theoretically, they had won.

Just as she was wondering if Dash and Dre would fight, a familiar figure appeared in the crowd in the distance. When she made eye contact with him, she was surprised that Dash was signaling to her.

"What do you want?"

"Come here before you miss something incredible."

Devon hesitated a bit but got up and ran to where Dash was. As soon as she reached his side, she asked, "What's happening?"

"Something tells me it's time for the Kung Fu masters. Just look over there." Dash pointed to where Cheng and his master were.

By the time Devon turned her head, she could see with her own eyes how Cheng's master intended to hit him, but just when he was about to do it, Mr. Han appeared behind him to stop him.

"That master is a scumbag…" Devon watched as, from one moment to another, a fight broke out between teachers, and her eyes widened when she saw that the fight was getting more intense.

"Come on, Mr. Kim, join the fight."

Mr. Kim, who was next to students from other Kung Fu schools protecting them, widened his eyes as he saw Dash and Devon watching the fight from the best position possible in this place.

"When did you leave?" Mr. Kim wondered as he watched Dash, who was pointing at the fight and shouting something he couldn't understand.

"Do you want me to stop that fight? There are things in life that can't be stopped. By the time you understand that, you'll know more about life." Mr. Kim thought as he moved people away so they wouldn't be affected.
