A Desperate Option

"This is becoming a problem..." Kresse muttered as he saw how several of his guys were getting along with those who should be their enemies. In situations like this, the only way to solve everything is to eliminate the problem from the path and move on. Dash was a guy who was uniting enemies when they should be eliminating rivals.

"Hey, kid, want to earn a few dollars?" Kresse asked, looking at a guy who was in the crowd.

"How much money do you have, old man?"

"Enough for you to spend with your friends." Kresse responded, slightly annoyed by the tone of that young man.

"Alright, what do you want?"

"I need you to get me a cell phone from my daughter." Kresse looked at Devon, who was sitting in the distance, and how she was always watching Dash.

The only option he has now is to remove the problems from the path. This is the simplest option because Devon was so connected to Dash that it was easy to come up with a feasible plan.

Starting his plan, Kresse left the school where the training was taking place and soon arrived at a bar where there were only two kinds of people: those who wanted to earn money and alcoholics who had nothing better to do.

When he sat down, he ordered a bottle of beer and sat in silence. He knew that if he wanted to find the right people to solve his problems, this place was the best for what he wanted to do.

"He had a chicken mask... Look at the video; someone managed to record how that bastard hit my little brother." Said a man with tattoos on his face.

"How do you expect us to find someone if we only know they have a chicken mask?" A slightly drunk man looked with confusion at the video, and everyone was being beaten by a guy with a chicken mask.

"They put my little brother in prison because of that son of a bitch; when I find him, I'm going to kill him."

Maybe this is a coincidence, but Kresse, with his sharp eyes, could see the video that these gang members were watching, and seeing that mask, a vague idea lit up in his memories.

"That mask..." Kresse could see the chicken mask and vaguely remembered how, in the lockers where Dash changed, he had that same chicken mask.

He had seen the information channel where two figures with chicken masks taught various Karate moves; that same mask was the one shown in the video and precisely the same one that Dash had in his locker, so it was more than obvious to guess the answer.

"I think I know the answer to your questions." Kresse smiled coldly as he stood up and approached the gang members.

The tattooed man looked at Kresse and asked, "Are you talking to us?"

"I just heard your conversation, and I've seen that chicken mask somewhere else. I can now say that we have a common enemy, and if you listen to me, we may each achieve our goal." Kresse said with a shrewd smile.

...

In the women's locker room, Devon had changed into her sportswear and looked in her locker for her cellphone.

"Where did I leave it?" Devon was confused for a moment.

Sophia beside her asked, "Is something wrong, my dear queen?"

"My cellphone; I can't find it."

Searching for it everywhere, Devon couldn't help but be confused. She walked out of the locker rooms in search of her cellphone, but no matter where she looked, she couldn't find anything.

"You probably left it in the general locker." Sophia said, looking at Devon, who was more worried than usual.

Devon sighed. She could still track her cellphone later, but it was still worrisome.

Tory approached from afar and asked, "Are you ready to go?"

"Yes..." Devon nodded as she headed towards the exit and left the school to go eat with her friends.
