Thoughts

As the competition continued, many fights were won, but others were lost, leaving only three teams: two from Del Valle High School and one from Seaford High School. Once everyone knew what would happen, a break was given for the fighters to consider their strategies while others rested.

"We lost to Jack's duo by just one point. Do you think the absurd rules of this tournament make any sense?" Victor complained to Dash after losing the last match against Jack.

Although both duos were very skilled, in the end, Jack had defeated Victor, even though the latter had lost in the female category. But once again, victory was decided on points and time, giving some teams more points than others.

Having watched all these matches, Dash smiled slightly and said, "You lost the match. A one-point difference is still losing, and you have to accept it as it is. If you lost by one point, it means your opponent knew perfectly well that they would win even if you won the fight. Whose fault is it?"

The rules were made to be followed, and everyone knew exactly how this tournament worked. Therefore, even if Jack let himself be defeated, it was a victory for his duo because they had won on points, so there was no need to complain.

If one knows how to take advantage of the rules, it's good to keep that in mind. This means that a better job must be done to overcome the advantages of the rules and points.

The last three duos were considered the elite of those who had participated, so everyone was excited to know who would win, although they found it hard to accept that the visiting school had the advantage.

Johnny, who had lost all his students in the duels, placed all his trust in his son, who listened attentively to all his advice.

As the final three teams were announced, the atmosphere in the arena became even more excited. Everyone knew that this next match was the focus of their excitement.

After a draw, Devon's duo got a direct pass to the final, meaning that Robby and Sam's group would fight against Jack and Kim, who had reached the final.

"Have you all enjoyed the matches so far?" The presenter, an expert in organizing tournaments and knowing exactly how to build up tension, took the stage to announce the next match.

"Yes!"

"So, do you all know exactly what will happen next? With a team from Seaford High School, they will somehow be at a disadvantage facing the two finalist teams from the visiting school. Therefore, it will require a great effort for the two of them to defeat four great fighters."

After saying this, the presenter paused and shouted, "So, let's start the next match. Robby and Samantha against Jack and Kim!"

Daniel looked at his daughter and shouted, "Sam, focus on defense!"

Sam nodded and entered the arena with Robby. They were the first to be called, so before the match began, they answered some questions to let the audience get to know them better.

"Sensei Rudy, will he give them advice?" A new student looked at his sensei, who was playing with his cellphone, so he raised his gaze.

Rudy approached Jack and said, "I know you're good, but not good enough. So, you have to be better to be the best and a better fighter than everyone present."

Kim, confused by Rudy's words, asked, "How will that help us when we fight?"

"What I mean is that, although you're good, you're not the best. They handle a pretty good martial art that focuses on defense and counterattack. You must be more technical when attacking," Rudy said, getting serious.

"It's quite strange how they fight. They seem rigid but very effective when attacking," Jack said, nodding at these words.

Kim, who had suffered the most losses, said, "Then let's go; as long as I beat her, there won't be any more complications."

Having identified Sam as the weakest link, Kim would take care of eliminating her so that Jack could have a much smoother fight.

"We'll start this time with the male fight; both of you get ready," the referee said in a serious tone after asking some questions.

The referee looked at the competitors and nodded, raised his straight hands, and said, "Look at me, Bow."

"Look at each other, Bow!"

Devon and Claire greeted each other. Then the referee initiated the match.

"Fight!"
