A Significant Bet

"Rest!"

"Yes!"

Throughout the afternoon, everyone had noticed that Johnny had been a bit off, so when the time came to hear what was bothering him, Miguel among the crowd knew exactly what was going on because Johnny had told him.

There wasn't much to say about it. Miguel knew that no matter how much time they invested in trying to reverse what had happened to the dojo, they wouldn't get anywhere because it was impossible for Miguel to know these flaws in this place.

Now that someone else practically owned Cobra Kai, Miguel hoped that the bet Johnny had told him about was entirely true; otherwise, many overwhelming things would happen to everyone.

Johnny, standing in front of his students, adjusted his voice a bit and said, "You all know me; I drink until I'm drunk when things bother me, and recently, I received quite drastic news. It turns out that, in addition to my old Sensei, he had a partner who is the co-founder of Cobra Kai, and after a long time, he decided to register the Cobra Kai name with a company."

"What does that mean?" Hawk looked around without understanding what Johnny was talking about at the moment.

Aisha at the side rolled her eyes and said, "It means they can legally take away this place from us, the name, the uniforms, and leave us in oblivion."

"Impossible, they can't do that!"

"To hell with them, we are Cobra Kai!"

Johnny looked at the commotion they were causing and shouted, "Silence!"

When the surroundings were filled with comforting silence, Johnny nodded and said, "The owner is quite reasonable, so he offered me a bet. He will bring his student to challenge our dojo, and if no one can defeat him in a set time, then we must change everything and stay away from Cobra Kai. But if we win, things will remain as they are now."

"Is he planning to challenge us with just one student?"

"That's crazy."

"Ohhh!"

Miguel knew this was a crazy bet, and for some reason, he felt it wasn't as simple as he thought. So, he asked, "Do you know who his apprentice is?"

"Yes, we want to know how good he is in martial arts."

"He's probably a damn monster."

"At Hawk or Miguel's level?"

"Probably..."

Johnny looked at his students once again and advised, "That's why the top Ten will fight him in descending order until we reach the number one, which is Miguel."

But no matter what Johnny said, everyone was still somewhat worried because Cobra Kai could disappear, and that was something everyone instinctively abhorred.

How can they let them take away their home?

Everyone would rather fight to the death than see their most precious thing, Cobra Kai, taken away from them.

Knowing that with a fight, they could get Cobra Kai back, everyone exploded with many questionable ideas on how to win this match easily.

"I can kick him in the balls!"

"I'm good at hitting the nose."

"I'll take care of poking his eyes."

Johnny smiled proudly, knowing that his students were willing to defend their dojo no matter who caused this situation.

A few minutes later, after talking about what had happened to Johnny, a car stopped, and a man with long hair got out with a tall but not tall enough boy.

"Is that his student?" Miguel felt a deep danger behind that seemingly calm boy.

Hawk frowned and said, "He doesn't look like someone out of this world; I'll finish him in seconds."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that."
