A massive rip in the fabric of space and time leaves Space command's deep space fleet stuck on the other side of the rift. Meanwhile alien ships from another dimension arrive on Earth en masse on the other side of the divide. Captain Maguire, a decorated graduate of the Space command academy, whose unorthodox approach to duty is also his strength in a desperate bid to defend commands his starship the Sandawana into the rift in a desperate bid to defend Earth. 
Arriving on Earth he initiates the counter attack to repel the alien ships from Earth.  Other starships of  Space command's deep space fleet arrive on Earth to support the Sandawana's fight against the alien ships. Under the vicious barrage of lasers and missiles from Space command's deep space fleet, the alien ships begin to withdraw to their own dimension. But as they retreat the aliens launch a ground operation and take a senior Space fleet officer captive. 
Captain Maguire is forced to pursue the aliens taking the fight to their home world.

Interdimensional, a starship trilogy

The humanoid set at the vehicle's controls and pressed the power icon. The vehicle turning away from the starship, shot forward with the telltale low whirring sound coming from its engine, as the vehicle raced across the vast plain. While captain Maguire set relaxing in the back seat watching the Bydanian landscape rush past to right and to the left. 


He could see the starship far receding into the distance as the vehicle raced towards the city which seemed to rise out of the ground as they approached. 


Once again it struck him they had not come across another living being. At first captain Maguire put it down to the isolation of the space port. It seemed logical that apart from the port personal, there would be no reason for anyone else to be present.
