A massive rip in the fabric of space and time leaves Space command's deep space fleet stuck on the other side of the rift. Meanwhile alien ships from another dimension arrive on Earth en masse on the other side of the divide. Captain Maguire, a decorated graduate of the Space command academy, whose unorthodox approach to duty is also his strength in a desperate bid to defend commands his starship the Sandawana into the rift in a desperate bid to defend Earth. 
Arriving on Earth he initiates the counter attack to repel the alien ships from Earth.  Other starships of  Space command's deep space fleet arrive on Earth to support the Sandawana's fight against the alien ships. Under the vicious barrage of lasers and missiles from Space command's deep space fleet, the alien ships begin to withdraw to their own dimension. But as they retreat the aliens launch a ground operation and take a senior Space fleet officer captive. 
Captain Maguire is forced to pursue the aliens taking the fight to their home world.

Interdimensional, a starship trilogy

"Captain, there is an incoming transmission", from Space command, reported lieutenant Tanaka at communications. 


"On screen", ordered captain Maguire sitting in the commander's chair on the bridge. 


The image of the fast receding alien ship as it sped off into deep space, was promptly replaced by the live transmission of a admiral Gwangwa."Captain we lost all communication with the Sandawana for some time. Deep space sensors were picked up a presence around your ship but there was nothing on visual", said the worried looking senior officer from his desk at Space command. 


"I 'm really concerned captain", it could have been just an equipment malfunction or something beyond the norm. Either way captain, it is a most disturbing development".
