Chapter 130: Darkness (6)

Out of some remote unknown, a tiny vial appeared, its origin a mystery to me, and it was handed to me delicately. My hands trembled, barely having enough strength in my arms to hold it. With great effort, I managed to take the liquid from the vial, letting it flow down my throat until it filled my stomach. A comforting sensation spread throughout my being, as if every cell in my body was revitalized by that recovery potion.

"Rest a while, soldier," she said as she moved away from my line of sight. My body seemed to have come back to life, feeling physically fit, but mentally elsewhere. After a few minutes of sitting, I rose, gripping my sword hilt tightly, and began to walk toward the front where the other soldiers were fighting.
