Chapter 139: Mother?

My gaze drifted back to the inn where we had spent the last six months. I felt a slight pang of nostalgia as I remembered the good times we had shared there, but I knew it was time to move on. However, this time I wouldn't be alone. Besides me, there would be Ema and her family, as well as Lysandra and Elsa.

With the limited time we had, we had just a week left to reach home, except for Elsa, who would have to return to her own home. Yesterday, we took care of all the necessary arrangements to be able to leave today. As always, the most excited one was Ema; her black hair shone in the sunlight, and even I had to admit it was truly beautiful.

I reminded the little fairy not to leave my soul while we were traveling. It would be very annoying and dangerous if greedy eyes tried to snatch her away. Though somewhat crestfallen, she felt understanding, for which I was grateful.
