I woke up in a pristine, white room, greeted by a figure adorned in resplendent armor, bearing six shimmering swords and eyes reflecting the vastness of the universe. "Hello," he said, "I'm bored, so I plucked you from the multiverse. Seems you're quite lucky." I chuckled. "Luck? Or just too much plot armor?"
He offered me a chance for reincarnation anywhere I
Yip"Percy Jackson," I blurted out. "Should've thought of that," he mused, fashioning a stylish watch from his sword. With a nonchalant kick, I was hurled into a portal, landing in the vibrant world of Percy Jackson.
[Sorry, I don't really like Marvel. By the way, this is an author's note. I don't know too much about Percy Jackson, so I'm going to start reading the books again to improve my storytelling. If you don't like the changes, then too bad. I'll be posting more often. Apologies for this, but I got pretty bored of writing and had important business to attend to.]
As Ethan flew through the portal, a random god said, "By the way, you're teleporting to Camp Half-Blood because I thought it was funny. Have fun trying to escape from there."
Ethan shouted, "Wait, what?" as he fell through the portal, landing in the grass. He looked around and said, "Yeah, that's definitely a camp for child soldiers," as he stared at some barbaric children fighting a very well-built wooden hayfield monstrosity, adding sarcastic air quotes.
[I read up on the book a bit more, so hear some more paragraphs]
Since Ethan has been trapped in a world with no people, he's become very antisocial. So when he sees a bunch of teenagers, understandably, he gets a bit, well, crazy. Ethan is first excited to meet everyone but quickly realizes he can't talk to anyone. After being trapped alone for several months, maybe years, he thinks, Well, I guess I'm screwed. Time to go crazy. He screams in the middle of the field. Everyone looks at him weirdly, confused because they've never seen this guy before and wonder why he's screaming in the middle of the field.
He's wearing torn civilian clothes that make him look like he's just been through a war. Ethan looks at his bracelet, clicks it, and an item shop from something like Fortnite pops up. There are skins, abilities, and a giant red button to travel to a random dimension. Hopefully not one that drives me crazy, he thinks. He sees items like the Infinity Stones, the Sharingan from Naruto, golden blood labeled "God Blood," lightsabers, Spider-Man genetics, Harry Potter magic—basically anything fictional you can think of.
Well, this seems interesting, he muses. I think I'm gonna start a stream and get basic speech and confidence, because that's what any normal streamer would need. He notices an option for "Absolute Hilarity," which says it's maxed out. Well, this is absurdly crazy off the rails bonkers, he thinks, and prepares to dive in.
I recently came into some money, so I'm planning to buy a computer or a camera along with an editing app. I don't need internet access everywhere, which makes this setup perfect for me to start streaming. I also need to work on my basic speech skills. I found a bundle that was 50% off, costing exactly 500 coins, which is all I had. Excitedly, I bought it and prepared to start streaming.
First, I got the camera. Oh wait, I forgot I already have a camera from the other world. I checked my inventory and found it, along with all the SD cards holding my saved adventures from that world. Luckily, it was free. The camera appeared out of a portal and fell into my hand, with the SD cards duct-taped to it. Now I could start editing all the videos.
As I sat in the middle of the field, editing my videos on the computer, I suddenly noticed a commotion. I was focused on my work, organizing and editing the footage of my crazy adventures, when a strange horse-man approached me.
Chiron's POV:
I was helping Annabeth when one of Apollo's children informed me of a strange man who had appeared through a portal and was now sitting in the middle of the field with a computer and camera gear. Curious, I asked to be taken to this person, thinking he might be a demigod. It took me about five minutes to get there. Sure enough, he was in the middle of the field, engrossed in his computer.
Ethans's POV:
I was about halfway through editing my videos when the horse-man arrived. Just as he was about to speak, I interrupted him, saying, "Wait a minute, you can be interviewed in a minute." I finished editing the first episode and posted it on YouTube. Then, I created several short clips of my adventures and uploaded them to YouTube Shorts and TikTok. Finally, I turned to the horse-man. "Okay, you may continue," I said as I closed the computer.
