In a world where life was once ordinary, a blinding white light changed everything in an instant.

 Billions of inhabitants vanished from the only planet in the galaxy with life, leaving behind empty cities and abandoned structures.

Among the survivors was William Davis, an average 22-year-old who was content with his ordinary life.

But his world turned upside down when he woke up in a strange place, surrounded by unknowns with dangers lurking everywhere.

As William tried to make sense of his new reality, he saw something out of the ordinary that made the gears in his brain move faster.

Waves and waves of monsters came for his tower with the intention to destroy it but how could William let it happen? His life was binded with it!

Now that William could think about it, many did not even get the height upgrade, he may have been one of the few who did it.

And William had the points now so the next upgrade was obviously going to be the 'Library of Skills'.

"I will think about it and get the answer before you message me with that new feature," William stated and Michael awkwardly chuckled.

"As you wish but just so that you know, I will not back down." The awkward chuckle changed to that of a small grin.

William only nodded to that and tried closing his eyes yet Michael had not left.

"You know…" Michael said while looking straight, "I thought you were some weak, easy-going going, and shy person when I first met you. I thought it would be my jackpot for Tower Points but you were the lion in the room all along…" Michael said with a somewhat sad expression.

William opened his eyes and met Michael's gaze. "Appearances can be deceiving," he replied quietly.
