Didn't You Want to Reconcile With Us?

Not knowing what was going on in Rowan's mind, Leslie quietly listened to Bianca.

The middle-aged lady's pitifully sounding words did nothing to melt her frosty countenance. At the same time, her heart was blazing with fury.

The clash of ice and fire made Leslie terribly uncomfortable but, she still wanted to face both Rowan and Bianca today. After all, they were the ones who came presenting themselves first.

Whether Rowan and Bianca would admit to their wrongdoings or not, Leslie planned to bring up what happened six years ago.

"Charlene, your mother's right."

Rowan's exhausted voice probed into Leslie's thoughts. She darted her eyes from Bianca to the older man. Calix also did the same as he sat in leisure next to Leslie.

Rowan tensed at the sight of Leslie's icy stare and Calix's pressuring gaze. His gut twisted in distress.

This unpleasant feeling was worse than facing his grouchy old mother and contemptuous younger brother.
