She Didn't Need That Kind of Negativity in Life

"Haa... haa..."

Breathing heavily, Leslie paused from walking. Her chest heaved up and down as she gasped for air. She tightly grasped the steel rods of the parallel bars, trying to endure the flaring pain from her legs.

Leslie was in another session of her rehab with Ms. Chen. Her speech therapy session with Ms. Yao ended around two hours ago. She took a brief rest before continuing the day with the physical rehab.

The clock on the wall was currently pointed to twelve-twenty, way past her usual rehab session time.

"You're doing great, Mrs. Xu. You'll reach the end this time! Only three more steps!"

Stroking Leslie's back, Ms. Chen continued encouraging her to move forward. Her voice echoed clearly in the gym, rising above the former's panting.
