He Looked as if He Was up to No Good

Evelyn stayed the night at Graceville Manor. She joined Calix, Leslie and Calliope having a barbecue party by the lake. Aunt Wendy, Uncle Raymond and Mrs. An were also there.

The party began around six-thirty. The small group chatted in between laughter as they enjoyed the variety of dishes served under the soft moonlit sky.

Calix took on the role of the grill master after cooking some egg fried rice. He insisted Leslie eat more than usual after cutting some meat into smaller bites.

"HEYA! Yours truly will entertain you all! Who's gonna be my partner?"

Evelyn yelled from the wooden deck, her stage for tonight. Assuming an exaggerated stance, she tightly held an unused spatula, pretending it was a mic.

"Woohoo! Sing for us, Miss Eve!"

"Little Aunt! You're the best!"

The excited Uncle Raymond and Calliope clapped out loud before the others followed. Calix paused from grilling the meat as Evelyn's action caught his eye.
