A Quaint Wooden Hut Nestling Near the Shore

"Oh! Flowers!"

"For you, my love."

Leslie was surprised with an array of fresh flowers once Calix opened the backseat of the four-wheel-drive truck. Chuckles slipped out of her lips, earning a fond smile from him.

Taking one of the bouquets, Calix handed the flowers to Leslie with care. A sheepish smile hung on his lips as he uttered, "I hope to make tonight special and memorable for you."

A tint of pink blush colored Leslie's cheeks. She took the bouquet from Calix before bringing it closer to her face. The sweet fragrance rose to the tip of her nose, alleviating her nerves.

"Thank you, honey," Leslie's smile widened while her blush deepened, "I believe it'll be special and memorable for us both."

Calix let out a throaty chuckle. Dipping his head in, he pressed his lips on the corner of Leslie's. He was tempted to give her a deep kiss but, right now was not the suitable time.
