[That should be a storyline, or as humans will call it 'destiny'. It's the programmed life story for different characters, like NPCs and named monsters. Every programmed character has one and normally only the governing AI can see it, but since I can read the game programs, I found a way to check a few parts of a character's storyline. It turns out now you also have the Authority to see it.]

"That means with my sprite buff boosting my perception stat, my inspect skill allows me to see the backstory of NPCs?".

[The storyline only includes what is going to happen to an NPC if no player interferes with their life, it seems like for now you can only see their past, so I can't see any immediate benefits but maybe if your perception stat goes up you would get to see their future too]
