Before I realize it, the sun has begun to dip behind the trees, and the orange glow of the setting sun filters in through the branches.

I've been riding so long recently that it's easy to lose track of time, settling into the comfortable and familiar pattern of riding onward, thinking about very little at all, trying to get to the next checkpoint in a journey that almost feels endless.

It's a rogue ray of sunlight in my eyes that makes me realize the sun has dipped so low.

As I glance up, I catch a glimpse of the deep reds and golds reflecting off of the leaves and onto the ground.

It is a breathtaking sight.

The trees are alight with bright oranges and reds, with a hint of gold thrown in to accent the colors. It makes the whole forest appear as if it were on fire.

Celeste awes, and her eyes widen. She tilts her head and stares up at the flaming trees, transfixed by the vibrant display before her.
