Celeste takes a breath and rises from her crouched position in the mud. She's so stiff and awkward upon being caught that I can practically hear her joints creak.
"Alright, I think. That was probably. I'm satisfied." She flicks at her skirt to try to get the dirty water off of it.
She is, frankly, handling the intense mortification I can see on her face quite well. I'm proud of her.
May doesn't notice any awkwardness at all, of course. "Awww! But you just started! Don't you wanna try it again?"
"Oh I'm definitely certain I have experienced all of the. Puddle. It had to offer. Yes. Definitely." Celeste declares.
"Alright, what did I miss?" Lucas asks as he walks up to the wagon, wiping his hands dry.
"Big Sis Celeste jumped in the puddle!! The big puddle. There!!" May points to the largest puddle that surrounds the inn, where Celeste had chosen to jump into moments ago.
She hadn't wanted to pick any smaller ones, which are many.
