The now familiar signage of The Boar's Feast hangs just a short distance from where Roland pulls the wagon up to. The busy roads of Carleon don't really leave much room for wagons or carriages to park, but there is a small alcove next to the inn that can fit our wagon and horses.
I'm pretty sure there's a stable belonging to the Boar's Feast somewhere around here, too, but I can't remember where it is right now. Lucas no doubt knows, however.
I lift May up onto my hip and climb out of the wagon with her. Her eyes sparkle as she recognizes the familiar inn, and she squirms in my arms.
"Oi." I scold her gently. "You know the rules. In cities you have to hold someone's hand or be carried unless we're inside, right?"
Her mouth draws down in a pout as she processes this.
I kiss her forehead to soothe her disappointment. "Come. Katheryne will be happy to see you."
