Not salty but dead angry

Inside the second tunnel, Shilin helped Bojing stand on his feet as the latter dusted his clothes, sniffling and crying. "Wh-where am I?"

"This is the second tunnel. But what are you doing here, Mr. Lu? Weren't you in the third tunnel?"

Tears welled in Bojing's eyes and he burst into them. "I was! B-But I don't know what happened…My foot got stuck into something a-and I crashed a-against the wall. It suddenly opened and I fell inside…"

Bojing covered his face, reliving the nightmare. "H-How will I go back to B-Boss and sis n-now? This is so sc-scary…"

His trembling body made Shilin feel sorry for him. He looked at the wall that had just collapsed to throw Bojing out, but it didn't seem like there was a way to open it and go back to the third tunnel again.

"Hm, I am not sure if there is a way to go back to the third tunnel."

Bojing paled.

"But you are free to join us. We are finding the exit anyway," he smiled.
