Lifelong celibacy?

Mingshen's stomach grumbled the moment he saw Jia laying down the dishes on the table. Dinner included a feast of lotus root and pork soup, shrimp fried rice and a combination of three to four side dishes, including braised mushrooms, chived mashed potatoes and hot and sour cabbage.

He grabbed a bite of the braised mushrooms and heavily nodded his head in appreciation.

"This ish goooood…"

"Hey! Don't steal food!" Jia threw him a glare.

"Didn't you cook for us to eat?"

"And there is an order for everything. Don't just randomly dig into dishes."

She snorted and served the soup. "Have this first."

Mingshen shrugged. He wasn't much bothered about the order as long as Jia's food got into his stomach. The warm soup glided down his throat with such flavor as if hell never existed.

"Is this heaven?"

"It's just soup."

Mingshen took another bite, albeit chewing this time slowly to relish the flavor to its fullest.
