Departure

The sky was dark, the air still, the darkness alleviated only by the shining moons in the sky. The very air was filled with tension as Allen and Jackie stood at the top of a building, glancing down as their time together came to an end.

"Jackie, are you sure you want to go on with this? It's quite dangerous," Allen asked with deep worry, but he already knew Jackie had made up his mind. He wasn't planning on being a puppet of the underground forever, and this was the only way to achieve it.

Spectrum and any other agency were already corrupted, infiltrated by external forces, which meant reporting the issue would probably achieve the opposite of his endeavor.

"There's no other way. There are others who are in the same situation as me, and I can't just watch this continue to happen. I have to stop this..."

"I guess this is goodbye then."

"I guess so."
