Going to University

"Is it just me, or are you looking kinda thicc?" Tom asked David, who had changed into his new clothes, to attend university.

"Damnit! It must be the effect of adding 2 entire points to both Vitality and Strength", David thought, as his baggy and loose clothes had now turned into a body-fit attire for him.

"the clothes feel so sticky", he groaned. Still, David could already feel that his scrawny and weak body was now in a way better condition, improving his overall experience.

"I-It must be the result of my world-famous Chicken Soup", David coughed, "And stop looking at my ass, you piece of shit", he said as he dashed out of the room to the dining room to have some breakfast with Tom.

"What? You cooking? How bad did the rejection hurt my bro." Tom said teasingly, but David ignored him, already chomping down on the cereal and milk.

"My body is feeling unusually hungry as well. It might be the result of my improved body."

David knew he could bring items from the game to the real world and vice-versa using the 'Inventory' in his system. He decided to use 'Lesser Healing Potion' on his mother. "Although her body doesn't have mana, I am sceptical about what would happen if he used it.

"Maybe a really diluted amount? Maybe I should gather some information about the game first. I cannot take risks."

He was already done with his breakfast and looked up to see that Tom was doing well.

"Come, I will take you in my car", Tom said as he picked up his bag for the day.

"Oh, sure!" David replied. He wanted to test his physical abilities but decided that this could be done later.

David and Tom exited the mansion and noticed a black jaguar was already waiting for them. A chauffeur stood next to the car and opened the door for Tom.

"I can open it myself", sighed David, who was unused to these lavish necessities.

The two of them were sitting in the car, not talking to each other.

"So, what is your progress on completing the quest?" Tom asked David.

"I found Slime King's location. I just need to defeat it. Although, as it is a legendary quest, I feel it will be a chain of quests, each one harder than the previous", David muttered.

"Is it even worth it? Like I have an Epic tier class, and I am already getting 3 stat points and 3 skill points every level up.", Tom said to David.

"You, on the other hand, are losing out on these bonus points, and you do not even know if the class you will get is even good."

David listened to Tom carefully, but he had already pondered about this, "I know, Tom. But I want to take this chance. I feel that this class will be the best one for me", he said as he recalled his conversation with James, where he specifically said he wanted to fight alone.

"What do you think of my class? I have been focussing on Strength and Agility for my stat points while levelling up the spells using skill points", Tom asked, looking at David.

"hmm.." David carefully thought about it. He had seen a similar build from Tom in his past life but also wanted to help him grow stronger quickly.

"You should focus on your mana as well. You can offset the strength with better items and weapons, but you need more mana to cast spells on your sword continuously. Agility should be most important for you, as you must regularly switch between offensive and defensive stance based on your mana and cooldown."

"Are you secretly a video game nerd as well?" Tom asked with a deadpan expression.

"damn you!"

"No, no! Genuinely. With the rapid increase in Orion's popularity, many tips and guides are being uploaded on online forums. Maybe you could earn some money this way!" Tom suggested as he took out his phone and showed a few blog posts to David.

"5 bucks for a single post!? That is too incomplete and so shitty! I can do a way better job!" David thought. Even though he never gave the trial past level 50, he survived through 'merging'. He lived on Earth for many more years, equipping him with essential information about most of the classes, Dungeons, and skills.

"I could make a fortune out of this!?" he thought. He looked at Tom, "You are the best bro ever".

"My pleasure, buttercup", Tom giggled.

"Oh, There is a party in a tonight. My dad wouldnt be able to join so i would have to attend. Want to join?" Tom asked David.

"Will there be food? Or the corporate bullshit" David asked.

"From all over the world" Tom replied with a smile to which David instantly nodded "I will definitely go then"

"Good, Come to my house later this evening then. Wear something formal"

"Sir, we have reached the destination", a coarse voice rang out, and the two realised they had already reached the university.

"Park the car. We will go ourselves from here", Tom said to his driver.

There were a few rich kids in the academy. Still, when combined with pretty looks and athletic background, Tom was one of the most popular kids in the academy.

"Hey, who is the guy walking next to Tom! He is kinda cute."

"Is that a new student?"

"Isn't that David? How the hell did he become so attractive?"

David and Tom walked through the university grounds, quickly dashing past the groups of people murmuring and gossiping.

"Someone is getting the attention of everyone today", Tom smirked as he nudged David.

"Do you want me to beat you like I smacked the shit out of those wolves as well?" David glared at Tom.

"But I need to buy new clothes for me, maybe this weekend", he thought. David had never given much attention to his looks in the previous life. But this time he wanted to have no regrets and make the most of this second chance given to him.
