After the last of the things were brought, the guard pulled the door of Wuyi's room shut and took his position as the guardian of the young master's sanctuary.

Inside, the two attendants, the boy and the girl, hurriedly set up the room for Wuyi. They organized his clothes, placed his personal items neatly on the ornate desk, and ensured that everything was to his liking. Once their task was complete, they left the room.

Wuyi's two attendants were orphaned siblings, Lin and Jia. Their border town had been attacked, their parents killed, and they were left to fend for themselves among a sea of refugees. Wuyi had found them, fed them, and taken them into his service.
