Chapter 30

Harrison felt guilty about what he had just done to Hale. He must not judge him too easily and insult him savagely. What he did is a violation of his own company, he is lucky because nobody saw him the deed, or else he will be sanctioned by the board of directors or even by his parents. That might be the reason for the downfall of what he has earned in founding the company.

He just wanted to say sorry but not totally and genuinely. He will just show Hale that even though he is in a bad mood, he is still being kind and professional. He knew that the early bird trainee was still outside, so he went out of the building to approach him.

He saw Hale sobbing when he reached the exit door. He put his left hand in his pocket to pick a handkerchief. He walked onto him and voluntarily provided him a hanky to wipe the tears.

"I am very sorry I made you cry. It is not my intention to scold you, I was just surprised at what you did. Here is my hanky, stop crying now... I have a task to give you."

Hale calmed himself and just listened to his boss. He must not show how weak he is and is more affected by one simple scold. He must treat it as a warning and a lesson to him that he must behave and act like a professional student.

They went inside the office and Hale was offered a coffee with his boss.

"No, thank you, boss. I am still full."

"I am so sorry, Hale. I knew that you were still mad at me. My apologies because I wasted your effort in baking a cake. We are supposed to eat that today."

Hale smirked. "So you mean it is okay with you to give you a cake?"

Harrison responded suddenly, "Uh-oh! I mean, you exerted an effort into it. You spent time making a perfect present. How bad I am, I never appreciated it. I am so very sorry. I don't know how I can pay for your efforts. If you want, I will treat you to this coming lunch."

"Still no, boss. I respect you so much and I don't want to treat you as my best friend. Thank you for making me realize that I am just only a student, not your close person."

Hale ignored his boss fully, he went inside the restroom because he was eventually crying. He cannot believe that the person he just met is Harrison and sometimes Xander. He doesn't know when the identity of Xander will come on Harrison's body.

He felt heartbroken, he thought that he would have a successful reunion with his secret lover. The romance with him was just temporary and he must wait again for the time that he can have him.

His boss chatted with him so that he could head to the office to hear the instructions for the tasks.

While Harrison is not around in the office as he has taken a call from a client, Hale is busy working in his office. The tasks given to him are to count the money inside the secret vent, do account reconciliation of his boss's savings account, and then reply to the clients by Email.

The tasks are quite risky as we don't know that his boss is tricking him, or worse that he might be framed up. His boss does not like him, either he is insecure to him or allergic to seeing him.

"Why I accepted these tasks, so tiring... Why did you just come early, Hale? You are working alone in such a heavy task." Hale spoke with his mind in disgust.

While he is having a good flow with his work in half an hour, the next minute makes him doomed and troubled. There are missing receipts in the office that he needs to find so that he can balance the entries in the reconciliation form. He is also wondering why the amount of the bills and coins are not matching on the list.

He is suspecting that there might be corruption inside the company. He must tell to his boss immediately so that everyone will be aware that there is a theft there.

He was supposed to report what he had just discovered when Harrison went back to the office with the police officers.

"Stop right there, miss! Don't move! If you think you can escape, you cannot as you are surrounded by many police officers."

Hale became shocked at what was going on. He raised his both hands while he was pointing at guns. The police that went to him twisted his arms and successfully arrested him.

"Wait, officer! I didn't do anything wrong!" He defended himself.

He is aware that he didn't make mistakes. He is just stressed about doing account reconciliation but he never attempted to do crimes.

Unfortunately, it seems that the police officers found a bunch of one thousand bills, checks, and receipts in his bag. He didn't notice it earlier because he is quite sure that he doesn't have a big amount of money on his things.

"I can't believe that you are stealing my money! How could you do this to me? After I showed kindness to you... What the...! Just arrest him immediately! And make sure he cannot escape!"

He stared at Harrison and looked at him sharply. "Did you plan this, Harrison? Huh? What is the meaning of this?"

The boss stayed speechless and did not even respond to him. Hale was just sent to the patrol car with his hands locked with a handcuff.

Before the car started, he asked for mercy from his boss hoping that the decision would change.

"Boss, let us talk about this. Let me explain, just listen to my side. I am sure that I didn't steal your money. Someone is tricking me and I was just framed up."

However, Harrison didn't respond again. He just smirked and bit his lips then clinched his hands.

After the process he took on the police station, he was sent inside the jail. He was teary-eyed while entering. He was not alone there, there was a man that looked like a matador.

His cellmate is full of tattoos on the arms, and has piercings on the nose, and lips, and tripled earrings on both sides of the ears.

He felt awkward and unsafe as he didn't know how to get along. He is praying he will not be dumped and punched.

"Oh, miss! Why are you here in men's cell? Uhhmm... ahh you are gay! Hahahaha!"

"So what? Even though I am wearing a lady's outfit, I believe that I am still a man."

"J-Just wow! You really like a woman! Your voice is so feminine! Well, why are you here?"

"I was framed up by my boss."

"Framed up? Me either! We can be friends sometimes."

Hale did not expect that someone would welcome him in a good way. He thought that he would experience what he saw in the movies like being physically abused. He is so lucky he was sent to the right cell, or else he can feel the living hell there.

Just after five minutes of staying here, Harrison arrived at the police station to visit Hale. He did this not to show concern but to show hatred.

"Hi, Hale. How are you? What is the feeling of being jailed? Did you like my gift?"

"Damn you! How dare you show your face after what you have done to me?"

"Ohh ohh hhhmm... Ssshhhh! Just relax, okay? We are not in the wet market. Don't show how cheap personality. Pay respect to your boss."

"Boss? You framed up me and sent me to jail, are you expecting I will still respect you?"

"Even if you turn the world upside-down, I am still your boss. I will be the one to grade you on your performance in Work Immersion, remember?"

"I will request my teacher to drop this subject. I don't you to be my boss again!"

"That would happen if your teacher approved it. You know, I am sad that you cannot graduate this year. Well, it's your fault."

"My fault? You really planned to send me to jail just because you dislike me. I don't know why our principal appointed you to be the trainer of ABM trainees, there are still more companies that I can choose but the school didn't allow me."

"Why don't you just accept the fact that you have an itchy hand? I can't believe that I would have a theft trainee like you. You just give a bad image in my management. I will make you pay for the money you stole in triple the amount."

"You are such an evil!"

"Call me whatever you want! You can call me evil, subordinate of the devil, I don't care!"

"Mark my words! The truth will soon come out! I will take revenge! I will knock you out!"
