Longing And Departure

In the rucksack, Asher saw some dried food that could be eaten on journey, a water-skin and a few miscellaneous things like tinder, flint and cordage that one might need on the journey. It was a standard issue bag that almost every knight carried with them and it was quite durable too thus making it perfect for Asher.

"More than enough place to put the things I took." Asher muttered and stuffed all that he had gathered into the rucksack before taking some cordage from the rucksack.

He used the cordage and threaded it through the holes in the metal plate. It was the memento of his mother and he wished to keep it close.

He then hung the metal plate on his neck, keeping it secured.

"This should hold well." Asher touched the metal plate, reminiscing a few old memories.

He quickly returned to the task at hand and worked on finishing up on the packing.
