Xiang Ling stated the obvious. She neither sounded angry nor happy, she just stared at him and waited to hear his response. What she didn't expect was for the man to suddenly start stepping forward.

Her gaze immediately shifted from his face to the tip of her sword that was merely a breath away from piercing his chest. Realizing that he wasn't going to stop, she hurriedly lowered the sword and finally returned her stunned gaze toward his face.
