Upset Wife

Xiang Ling stretched her limbs as she stepped out of the bed-chamber and walked toward the wooden table sitting in the open courtyard. She took a seat at the table and her gaze landed on the pavilion where she spent a very hot time the previous night.

The recollection of those memories tinted the tips of her ears bright red and she had to pat her cheeks several times to shake off the memories. As she let out a sigh, she noticed Fu Xiao stepping inside the courtyard with a tray of tea and pastries.

"My Lady, why are you sitting outside in such cold weather. It's almost nearing sunset. It's not good for your health to stay out in the open, and you aren't even wearing your cloak!"

The more she spoke, the more panicked Fu Xiao became as she realized just how careless her lady was with her own health. Xiang Ling opened her mouth to tell the woman that she wasn't feeling cold, but then stopped as she realized that her words would barely convince her.
