Special Permission

"Wait! Nobody told me there's a time limit for application?!"

Melody roared in frustration, slamming her hands on the front desk, leaving a deep impression on its wooden surface. It was an intimidating display, but the receptionist woman didn't as much as blink at her violent reaction.

"Pardon us, Ms. Gregory," The receptionist lightly bowed her head, "But this was the decision of the Chairman, so we're just following orders."

"Dad...!" A complicated expression flitted across her face.

Melody opened and closed her mouth, as if unable to find the right words to say. After a while, Melody glanced at Quinlan before sighing. She took out her phone and quickly dialed a number.

*BRRRR!* *BRRRR!*

After a couple of rings, the other side quickly picked up.

"(Melody? You know that I'm busy, right? What do you need?)"
