Melody's Backup

"UGH!"

A groan escaped Melody's lips as she got hit by another invisible attack. However, fortunately, her Doppel was already armed with extra defenses specifically made to counter the Dragon-shaped Echo's killer move.

Still, it only protects her from deadly damage and isn't able to neutralize the entire shockwave itself. As such, every time she got attacked, the entire cockpit was shaking.

She, of course, didn't give up just yet. She squeezed the trigger, aiming around randomly, trying to blast as many of the Echoes as she could. However, her enemies weren't just scarecrows flying in the air and staying in one place.

*BRRRRRR!*

Her bullets drew yellow arcs in the air but only caught less than a dozen normal Echoes. It was way too few when taking the bullets she consumed into consideration!

"Damn it! These things are too hyper!"
