Determined not to let her father-in-law have the satisfaction of winning, Natalie took a deep breath and stepped out of her room to inform Juan of her decision.
"I am ready, Mr. Juan. Let's do this."
The butler gave her a solemn nod.
"They are all waiting for you in the garden, madam."
All of them? Would there be an audience for her ordeal too, then?
"…Lead the way, please, Mr. Juan."
It was a lengthy walk behind Juan who carried the tray in his steady hand all the way to the mansion's garden—a part Natalie had not seen before except through the window of her room since it was located on the opposite side of the parking space. The garden was conveniently divided into two sections: a closed winter garden and an open summer garden.
When Juan mentioned everyone, he truly meant everyone.
