Aiden's smile widened slightly, despite his weakness. "Don't say that," he replied softly. "Our love will endure through everything."

Mariore nodded, her heart heavy with emotion. "Then promise me, Aiden. Promise me you'll fight to live a long life with me," she pleaded, her eyes searching his for reassurance.

Aiden mustered all his strength to nod. "I promise," he whispered, his voice filled with determination. "Stop crying. You look ugly when you cry." He teased gently, trying to lighten the mood with his affectionate humor.

Mariore managed a weak smile through her tears, touched by Aiden's attempt to cheer her up.

She squeezed his hand tighter, finding solace in his familiar touch and the comfort of his presence, even in such a weakened state.
