Adeline said, shaking her head in disbelief.

Sophia glanced at Adeline, then looked down, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"Ragnar threatened to write a decree ordering my beheading, the same as he did to Arnulp. Then, I grabbed his hand and placed it on my neck, and told him, 'Take my head whenever you want, whenever you feel I deserve it,'" Sophia recounted, her voice tinged with a mix of defiance and vulnerability.

She discreetly touched her neck and murmured a healing spell to soothe the marks.

Adeline's eyes widened in disbelief at Sophia's stubbornness but couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration for her courage.

Adeline gave a mischievous smile. "Let me guess, he choked you while he was… entering you, My Queen?"

"Oh damn, that makes me eager for night to come so I can ask Uzana to do the same for me," Adeline said with a mischievous smile.
