Preparing for the End

Five years later, the Fairy Queen herself approached Shane with a solemn look on her face… This was after she learned that Shane was planning to return to the past.

After some consideration, she talked about killing her first saying that it was for the sake of the realm itself.

"You have to kill me… before going back." She said.

As Shane recalled the memories, he finally realized how he ended up clearing this Apocalypse after so many years. It seemed that it was inevitable.

Apparently, the queen explained that the longer the realms remained merged, the more unstable they would become. If something happened to her, Shane might not have a chance to clear the Apocalypse.

She actually knew that the system was designed to push its participants toward a climactic end. If Shane did not act, the apocalypse would never truly end, and the higher beings would eventually intervene, obliterating everything.
