"Dodge!" Neo shouted, jumping in the air.

Just a second after they jumped, roots sprouted from the ground, chasing after Alden and Neo in the air.

Alden activated his spiritual eyes. Thanks to his skill, he saw the roots coming at him. He twitched his body in the air and dodged.

As for Neo, he coated his staff with spiritual energy and swung down at the roots.

While he fought the roots, both he and Aden landed on the ground.

"Was that a signal?" Alden asked as he dodged a root and slashed another root. "Who did the signal to?!"

"I don't know, but it is not good." Neo stroke a root. But his staff was not sharp, so he could not cut it.

A few wooden stakes flew at Alden and Neo.

But they were too preoccupied by the tree roots attacking them. They could not dodge.
