The chariot landed before the south city gate, outside the Academy City.

The four guards stationed at the city gate did not move. They held their spears beside their bodies and stood with their backs straight.

"Welcome!" The guards bowed to the chariot.

Five figures appeared out of nowhere, surrounding the chariot. One of the five was Aether, the commander of the city guards. He came as a representative of the central tower.

He had a red leather jacket, wearing it unbuttoned, revealing a huge scar across his chest. He wore a hear-shaped necklace on his chest and on his back, he had his wide sword.

From the hilt of the blade, it was wide, and as it went down, it slowly narrowed, ending in a pointy end. The sword almost reached the floor.

As for the other four, they were people sent by the four academies. They all had a round shield on their backs.
