The Start of a New Beginning Arc

Kyran panics as he looks around for a way to stop Colt then he sees a large air conditioning unit hanging by a rope closely above Colt , but not close enough. He looks around and spots a trash bin which gives him an idea. He concentrates on the objects with all his might for the best effects as he waits for an opportunity.

"Where's the rascal," Colt asks "did you send him off so he doesn't get hurt?"

She tries her best not give away Kyran's whereabouts by not checking if he's okay and only looking at Colt while lying on her back as she sweats profusely. She tries using her focus to stop the bleeding but she's growing weaker as she can only hope that Kyran ran away.

"Not gonna talk huh." Colt says as he looks up to see rain clouds forming "Doesn't matter anyway, all I need is what you know."

Just as he was about to look at her he sees a trash bin flying from the alley on his left towards him which he easily dodges by moving out of the way. He looks into the alley and begins to laugh hysterically as he sees Kyran with his arms stretched out.

"So the rascal didn't run away." Colt aims his gun at him "Don't you think that that was a sorry attempt to rescue her?"

"No, I just wanted you to move." Kyran says which confuses Colt.

Colt suddenly hears the sound of tearing rope as he looks up to see a big air conditioning unit above him as Kyran swings his arms down strongly and quickly causing it to plummet. Colt attempts to dodge it but gets hit by the same trash bin halting his movement as the unit crashes onto him as the sound of his scream and the crashing unit are heard.

Kyran rushes over to Ms Travers' aid as he sees her trying to stop the bleeding while her eyes were weakly shut. He looks around and sees no one in the area to provide medical aid so he results to the only other option . He rushes over to see that the unit only covers Colt from the neck down as his blood was spreading on the floor. He removes Colt's mask and sees a man with tanned skin and a cut across his cheek bones as blood flowed from his mouth. But he was alive.

"So you wanted to see the face of your murder victim." Colt says "I can see it, the fear in your eyes, the desperation. Just let me out of hear and I promise to heal her and never bother you again, but if you don't my men will find you and make sure both you and your family suffer. The choice is yours and time's running out."

Kyran considers the offer but stays firm with a fierce and calm look which Colt notices.

"Even if you do keep that promise," Kyran said calmly "it doesn't mean that you'll stop hurting people."

"So you refuse and want the ones you love to be killed." Colt says angrily.

"They won't be killed," Kyran says "cause I'll stop your group."

"You're too weak and so is she," Colt says "you stand no chance."

"Maybe now I don't but," Kyran holds his neck scar "in time I'll get stronger and exterminate your group and another which I already hate. First I have to get back at those who inflicted this scar, starting with you."

Suddenly Colt's face turns to a state of shock in which Kyran sees an opportunity.

"System Call. Copy." Kyran commands the system.

"What is this!?" Colt shouts as he feels a sudden strain in his head "What are you doing!?"

"You really think you stand a chance against us." Colt says angrily as he grunts.

"I took you down didn't I." Kyran says calmly "Imagine what I can do when I improve."

[ Progress: 72%]

Colt stops grunting as he notices something in Kyran which pleases him.

"You have those eyes." Colt smiles "This is your first kill isn't it? You're scared. Even if you do get stronger, you won't stop us. You'll join us like the others did."

[ Progress: 81%]

"I've seen these eyes lots of times from those who swore to end us but just ended up joining us." Colt says "You're no different."

[ Progress: 95%]

"I can assure you that," Colt says "my superiors will make you suffer. I'm just an Iron tier."

Suddenly he notices a change in Kyran's expression as Kyran's eyes emit a fearsome look of anger which disgusts Colt. Kyran crouches as his eyes stay fixated on Colt's as though he just wanted to beat him. But he didn't.

"Here's a phrase of revelation." Colt says "Everyone changes after their first kill," he coughs "so will you."

The system informs Kyran as thin black aura emits from him.

"May your spirit watch," Kyran says calmly "as I beat them till, they grovel for mercy."

[ Reaper's Copy: Successful]

[ You have barely survived.]

The system box titled [ Focus] with the sub-title [ Reaper's Copy] appears again in Kyran's vision. The second slot gets filled with the information titled [ Recovery] with the symbol of a green medical cross below it. Below that he sees a black circle with the text [Tier] under it. The box disappears when he finishes reading it as he sees Colt no longer moving, with his eyes cold and lifeless.

Kyran rushes over to aid Ms. Travers as he sees her trying to use her telekinesis to stop the bleeding, but she is getting weaker as her eyes close.

"Ms. Travers." Kyran calls.

"Kyran?" she says weakly "Is that you?"

"Yes, I'm here."

"Is there a phone nearby?"

Kyran looks around and sees a telephone booth near a power pole with a street lamp shining on it.

"Yes there is." he says.

"Dial this number quickly," she says "he'll help."

She gives him a phone number which he memorizes as he rushes over to the telephone booth and quickly dials it. The call goes through which someone answers as Kyran quickly informs the unknown person about the situation and their location then the call suddenly ends.

He then rushes back to Ms. Travers who is getting weaker as she starts shivering and her yellow aura fades allowing the blood to slowly pour out. He tries to concentrate his thin black aura around her wound in an attempt to heal them as he sees the bleeding has stopped yet the wounds are still open. He puts in more effort as the wounds slowly close up, but the strain of the work kicks in causing his vision to blur. He tries pushing through the strain as much as he could till he saw the headlights of a car shine on him as he passes out as their auras fade away.

A white minivan parks in front of them as a man with black hair wearing a black overcoat, black pants and shoes; quickly rushes out and attends to Ms. Travers. He sees that her wounds were int the process of being closed up but it's unfinished. He is about to put her in the car till he notices Kyran lying unconscious, so he picks him up and puts them both in the minivan and drives off.

The winds began to pick up as the clouds began to rain over the city. The magnitude increases dramatically proving it harder to drive as the number of moving cars on the road began to decrease. Yet the night was still young.
