Chapter 88

"What... what?" Arthur began to stammer, not knowing what to say, but the skill acquired from the system brought him back to his senses. He asked calmly, trying to change the conversation to something better:

"What do you mean, Alice? I don't understand," Arthur asked with feigned confusion.

Alice gathered her courage and said with some fake anger, "I heard what you and my mother talked about and what you did that night. I saw everything."

Arthur sighed, "Listen, Alice, what happened has happened. I can't do anything about it, and if you're wondering if I'm regretting what I did with Serene, I'm not."

Alice looked away, avoiding Arthur's gaze, and whispered some inaudible words.

Arthur sighed again, but this time audibly, expressing his annoyance, "Okay, Alice, how can we have a conversation here if you're going to keep talking in an inaudible voice?"

Alice screamed, "Do it with me too!"
