Punishment for failing to recognize me

With a heavy heart, he began climbing. He climbed three to four stairs at a time and he was very fast, precise, and deft while at it. This was to be expected as he was used to the stairs and had climbed it a zillion times already.

It didn't take long for him to reach the top.

There, there was a room. The room was circular, not square or rectangular like normal rooms.

At the far end of the room was a large king-sized bed.

At the center of the room were four soft-cushioned sofas. They faced each other in a circular formation.

At the center of the formation was a white stone. The stone was like a large box, having the size of a dwarf stool. A sense of mystique seemed to emanate from the stone.

Dragovic walked to the stone without hesitation.

Reaching it, he sighed and bit the tip of his finger, then he let a drop of blood fall into the stone.

The moment the drop of blood fell on the stone, the stone absorbed the blood and its color changed from white to light red, then it lit up. Mysterious runes began flickering right above it.

[Draconic Mountain accepts its new owner... Dragovic Drake]

★★★

Apart from that, another prompt from his Draconic system suddenly appeared before him.

[You have gained a God-level treasure... Draconic mountain]

Sighing, Dragovic got down the tower to the outside.

Reaching the end of the floating mountain, he noticed that the mountain was no longer floating, it had fallen to the ground below.

He also noticed another thing which he found peculiar, the entire dragon realm was covered in mist.

Dragovic had a bad feeling in his heart after seeing the mist.

He had wanted to get off the mountain, but upon seeing the mist he decided against that.

he tried to control the mountain to fly, but his energy wasn't enough, the treasure sucked off all his energy but still wasn't able to lift off the ground.

Grunting, he called it off, storing the treasure in his [Sea of Soul], falling out of the edge of the mountain after it disappeared, Dragovic fell into the misty realm.

'I wonder why the mountain was not destroyed after father's death' he thought.

Normally treasures like this usually get destroyed and [return to origin]

It's simply break down back to energy that returns to the universe after the death of their owner, but the [Draconic Mountain] seems to be a special type of treasure.

Just as he was thinking about that, a mysterious essence invaded his body from the mist.

The essence was strong, and Dragovic suddenly felt his connection to the energy within him getting blocked.

"What the fuck!" He muttered in shock, during his time with his father, he had encountered such a situation, and his father was able to deal with it with a certain beast bloodline.

He was confused as how this came to be, but thinking about it, his eyes glinted as he remembered something...

"The Cthulhu..." He muttered...

Despite being gone the Cthulhu was still plaguing them.

He remembered vividly when the Cthulhu left a puff of smoky mist in its wake immediately after disappearing.

He found it hard to believe that the mist could spread throughout the entire realm in such a short time.

Suddenly he received a prompt from his [Draconic System]

[You've been affected by the Bloodline ability; Celestial Blue Kraken energy severing mist]

[Effect lasts for two hours]

Dragovic was just about to curse, but then, he suddenly spotted a silhouette shrouded in mist, moving towards him.

"A survivor!" He gasped and moved forward quickly to meet the silhouette.

As they came closer, they became more visible to each other.

The person shrouded in the mist is a dragon, he was in the lowest dragonoid form, looking humane if not for the fact that he was covered in scales, and had spiky red hair and a tail.

His face turned cold upon spotting Dragovic, "What's your name human?!"

Dragovic's face turned cold and an aura began to emanate out of him.

The dragon was oblivious to the situation, so he continued, "How dare a lowly creature like you ignore me. You're courting death!"

After saying that, he slapped his tail towards Dragovic. His Cultivation base had all been sucked off by the mist, but he still has his physical strength. The simple tail swing contains immense power that most humans wouldn't dare take head-on. He is aiming to take down Dragovic quickly with that one single move.

Dragovic smiled coldly, he flicked his fingers and his hand moved sharply forward, he grabbed the Dragon by his tail.

He gripped the base of the tail firmly, the tail squirmed trying to escape his grip, but his grip was to tight and firm.

Slowly, he started to swing the Dragon back and forth, each pendulum-like arc ending with the Dragon's head brutally colliding against the unyielding rock floor.

The Dragon grunted and groaned with each impact, his face taking the brunt of the punishment. Desperate to break free from Dragovic's iron grip, he struggled and thrashed, but Dragovic's hold remained unyielding.

With a steely resolve, Dragovic ignored the Dragon's futile efforts, channeling all his energy into delivering punishing blows that sent rocks and sands on the ground flying with each devastating collision.

The deafening sounds of the Dragon's screams reverberated in the entire surroundings.

The mist made their figure shrouded in silhouette, but despite that, even from afar, the scene was quite brutal to look at.

Time seemed to stretch on endlessly as Dragovic continued his brutal assault, undeterred by the Dragon's screams or the Dragon's waning struggles. The ground became a canvas of agony, stained crimson with each impact, until finally, Dragovic stopped the trashing.

Utter silence descended upon the area, punctuated only by the labored breaths of the Dragon as Dragovic released the almost lifeless tail from his grip.

Blood could be seen seeping out furiously from the in-between cracks of the tail's scale.

Suddenly the silence was broken, Dragovic's overbearing voice resounding in the place, "That's your punishment for failing to recognize your Alpha's son."
