It's clear what the issue is when you move over to the fabricator. The nozzle was meant to move rapidly back and forth, piling on layer after layer of a new fan blade. Half the blade was made but the heat of the plastic has deformed the nozzle head, and so the rest of the blade's layers were sprayed out across the room as a continuous spiral of plastic.

"Whoever made this fan-blade recipe must've been accounting for a colder base temperature," says Virginia. "I've fixed it now."

"The nozzle is broken as well," you tell her.
