Jing Haohao always felt something was amiss. Her gaze thoroughly scanned Liang Chen's body, and aside from his left leg, everywhere else seemed undamaged.
With a slight frown, Jing Haohao finally inquired, "Are you really okay?"
Liang Chen gave her a smile, speaking in a breezy tone, "Haohao, if you keep dawdling, my left leg might end up necrotic and I could be disabled for life."
Jing Haohao pursed her lips, looked at Liang Chen somewhat unconvinced, and then said, "Wait for me then; I'll come back as soon as I find someone."
Liang Chen nodded nonchalantly, "Okay."
Jing Haohao fixed her gaze on Liang Chen for a while, then noticing his light, rumpled sleepwear, she got a blanket from the back seat—the one Liang Chen always carried for her—despite it being early spring the nights were still chilly. She carefully draped the blanket over him.
