Shield her

"Why did His Highness talk so harshly with Venus? Her in-laws must be thinking that she is a bad person," Alora complained as she took off the earrings and placed them in a box.

"Venus is a bad person," Magnus stated. He dropped his overcoat on the chair and went to her. His hand rested on her shoulders and his gaze met with hers through the mirror.

"I was mad and I still am," Magnus replied. "Just because of you, I've to keep control of my anger," he asserted.

"I'm used to being getting hate," Alora said.

"No. You used to bring getting ridiculed. You know how many men's hearts beat to see you today. That's the beauty of yours. I'll make everyone regret to ignore your presence," Magnus proclaimed. His hands moved down, causing her to shiver and her fingers curled up.
