Hot headed attitude

Venus was taken aback at the sight of Eugene's cousin, Solomon, a figure from her past who had only graced their presence once before, to extend his congratulations on their nuptials.

Madam Collie, being the elder in the house, stepped forward and said in a firm tone, "Sir, this is not the appropriate time to visit the lady of the Wilson Family. I must ask you to leave and return in the morning."

Solomon, however, was not easily deterred. "I've traveled all the way from another town," he protested, taking a slow step towards Venus. "Can't Venus inform the old lady that as her brother-in-law, I am entitled to spend the night here? My cousin's home is no longer an option for me."

But Venus stood her ground and she decided to speak this time. "Hold your steps, Brother Solomon. Uncle Patrick will arrange for your stay at the rest house in the capital. You need not concern yourself with the expenses for tonight," she declared, effectively denying him shelter.
