A Proper Date

The moment Stefan and Ruby arrived home, they were both surprised to see that the lights in the living room were on, which meant that Stefan's parents were still in the living room.

"It seems like your parents are waiting for us," Ruby observed as she got out of her car and joined Stefan in front of the house.

"I can see that. I'm wondering why, though," Stefan said with a frown.

"They probably want to confirm if we went on the date or not," Ruby guessed, and Stefan nodded.

"That makes sense," Stefan said, and Ruby nodded as she followed him into the house.

Just as they already suspected, both his parents were in the living room.

"Why are you both just coming back from the office now?" Stefan's mom asked before either of them could say a word.

"Did you forget that you asked us to go on a date?" Stefan asked gruffly.

"But you didn't go on the date, did you?" Stefan's father asked with disapproval.
