The Hunt Was On

Mr. Sherlock studied the photos on Stefan's phone for a moment, then nodded. "I see. And what did you say you want?" He asked, cocking his bushy eyebrow.

"I want to know why she needs your service."

"Surely, you do not expect me to tell you that, do you? Since you are aware that she was here, why not take it up with her and find out why she requires my service?" Mr. Sherlock asked.

Stefan hesitated. He understood the need for confidentiality, but his worry for Ruby gnawed at him. "She won't tell me. I don't know why, but she keeps lying to me. I know she's in some kind of trouble. And I want to help her." He admitted.

Mr. Sherlock studied him for a long moment, his gaze sharp. "Helping a client often means respecting their privacy, Mr. McQueen. I can't divulge details of our conversation."

"Of course," Stefan conceded. "I understand. But surely, you can tell me if she's in danger?"
