Chapter 131 More and More

Xavier landed, rolling to avoid a crushing mandible, then drove his sword upward, impaling the ant through the mouth.

Xavier barely had time to breathe.

The ants were relentless, their numbers were too much, and they were everywhere; the Harpy was flying around firing flame and wind spells, and the dwarf was smashing heads everywhere.

For each one Xavier cut down, two others filled the space.

He wasn't tired but his arms were sore, his grip on his sword slick with sweat, but he didn't stop. He couldn't.

He wanted to check how many he had killed with his sword, but he couldn't; he had no idea if it would be up to 100 or not, so he could start using spells.

A King Ant burst from the side, mandibles yawning wide, for his arm.

Xavier whirled aside, avoiding by inches the snap of its killing jaws, and drove his blade into its throat. A green gout of blood splattered across his chest as the creature died.
